Origin AI explains that its AI-based technologies are able to discern the differences between human and non-human movement to reduce false alarms.
ROCKVILLE, Md.—Origin AI, an AI-enabled Wi-Fi Sensing technology development company, has announced the launch of TruShield Security.
The Mid-Atlantic company states that its latest solution is a next-generation home security solution that uses advanced Wi-Fi Sensing technologies to transform existing Wi-Fi networks, standard home routers and IoT devices into security systems without requiring additional equipment or installations.
“TruShield Security sets a new standard for DIY home security by eliminating the need for costly and wasteful hardware,” says Spencer Maid, CEO of Origin AI. “We’re empowering Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to offer their customers unparalleled security that integrates seamlessly with current setups, creating new revenue-generating products while reducing churn.”
TruShield is Easy to Setup and Deploy
The company explains that its new security solution responds to evolving end-user customer demands and the home industry’s shift towards integrated, intelligent solutions.
TruShield Security is said to allow ISPs to deliver security services to customers using existing infrastructure while creating new revenue streams and reducing customer churn. These offerings vastly improve upon traditional security solutions by overcoming key barriers associated with the category — cost, false alarms and notification fatigue the company boasts.
In addition, TruShield Security is scalable and designed for rapid deployment. Over 85% of integration work is already completed by Origin AI, enabling ISPs to integrate and launch TruShield Security within months, depending on exact specifications and requirements, the company emphasizes.
Key features of TruShield Security include:
- Verified Human Presence detection: TruShield Security’s AI-powered technology leverages Wi-Fi signals to monitor motion and provide accurate alerts that distinguish between human activity and non-human movement, significantly reducing false alarms.
- High Levels of Accuracy: The solution’s use of Channel State Information (CSI) allows for high levels of detection of movement patterns, with AI processing signal reflections. This approach, Origin AI asserts, delivers high levels of intrusion detection accuracy compared to traditional passive infrared (PIR) sensors, which are prone to false alarms caused by pets and other objects.
- Increased Accessibility: TruShield Security enables ISPs to seamlessly add security capabilities, reducing costs for end-consumers and easing adoption. The system also integrates with smart speakers (Amazon, Google and Apple), allowing end-users to control their security hands-free. The smart speakers can also act as a siren.
- App and Phone-Based Control: According to the company, end-users can manage security through an app, which ISPs can tailor to their customers with customizable notifications and real-time updates. Users’ phones will also act as a key, auto-disarming the system on arrival.
- Layered security and whole-home coverage: Origin AI suggests that TruShield Security complements outdoor cameras and video doorbells to bring seamless coverage indoors. By using existing IoT devices like smart speakers and plugs as sensors, the solution can help eliminate blind spots and extend protection throughout homes.
“The launch of TruShield Security represents a new era for our organization,” adds Maid.
“In the coming years, our team will release more full-stack end-to-end AI-enabled Wi-Fi Sensing products that enhance consumers’ safety, health and well-being. Origin AI will continue to be at the forefront of AI Sensing innovation.”
TruShield Security will be available through select ISPs in the second half of 2025.
