The East Rutherford mega mall announced on Tuesday, April 1, that it would be launching AquaDream, a fully submerged theme park with rides like Poseidon’s Plunge and Atlantis Racer, where guests could supposedly “race dolphins,” “dodge sharks,” and “ride roller coasters beneath the water.”
The catch? It was an April Fools’ joke.
“Opening 20-never,” the website says. “We haven’t developed an underwater theme park… yet.”
While AquaDream may not be real, American Dream reminded guests they can still go under — at DreamWorks Water Park, or ride coasters at Nickelodeon Universe, with more than 36 indoor attractions already open.
No sharks, but plenty of splash.
