The truck veered off the road, struck a telephone pole, and then crashed into a building along the 1300 block of West Chester Pike around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19. Despite the extensive damage to the building, no serious injuries were reported, and the driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
PECO crews were set to the scene and worked to restore power to the area. As of 7:05 p.m., both westbound lanes of West Chester Pike have been reopened, though the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
