Deputies responded to a commercial burglary alarm at a business in the 25000 block of Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown around 3 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, according to an official release.

When deputies got to the scene, they found the power to the building had been cut at the breaker box, and there were clear signs of forced entry into the pharmacy. Inside, deputies said there was visible evidence of theft.

It is unclear what, if anything, was taken.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division has taken over the case.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Taylore Nauman at 301-475-4200, ext. 8109.
