Wayfair Inc. is expanding the brick-and-mortar footprint of its namesake brand.
The online home furnishings giant will open its second large-format store, at The District at Howell Mill shopping center in Atlanta. Set to open in 2026, the 150,000-sq.-ft. space will offer an immersive, one-stop shopping destination for all things home. The assortment will include furniture, home decor, housewares, appliances, and home improvement essentials across all styles and budgets.
In January, Wayfair said that one of its core initiatives include expanding its physical retail footprint. The company is set to debut the first-ever brick-and-mortar location of its upscale Perigold brand this spring in Houston.
The Atlanta store will mark Wayfair’s second large-format location, with the first opening in May 2024 at Edens Plaza in Wilmette, Ill. The Wilmette store has delivered outstanding results, contributing to sales from the state of Illinois growing more than 15% faster than the U.S. overall, from the store launch through the end of 2024, the company said.
